Anchor is a small (4K) system 7 program that will mount your network or secondary hard disks.
To use it, simple copy it onto a secondary hard disk or a networked folder, make an alias of it, and copy the alias back onto your primary hard disk. Rename the alias to whatever suites your tastes - “Mount Network” for example. Now when you double-click the alias on your primary hard disk, it will mount your secondary hard disk or networked folder without your having to go through the chooser.
After you copy the alias onto your primary hard disk, you no longer need to have a copy of Anchor or the alias on the networked folder or secondary Hard disk.
Why do I need Anchor? You don’t. Everything that I just explained can be accomplished with any program. Anchor only simplifies the process by:
•Providing the program to be aliased
•Displaying nifty icons in both B&W and color
•Some third point that I can’t remember right now.
